The Syrian civil war has been going one for a while now and has gotten very serious very quickly. There has been a lot of destruction on property and a lot of civilian deaths that are ongoing currently.
There are rebel camps in Syria that have been seriously targeted by the Syrian government and any attempts to bring this stalemate to an end has not born any fruits. But this is not happening and the end results are tons of detainees jailed unfairly and who are undergoing extreme physical, sexual and emotional abuse behind bars. There is debris everywhere now and too many dead bodies strewn all over the place in a place that was the perfect picture of love and prosperity. There are hundreds if not thousands of refugees in the neighboring countries now who have nothing they can.
Iran on the other hand has been known to fund, train and offer weapons to militia and terror groups while harboring them on their soil. The country has declined any advice to stop doing so from the international community. It is a poorly kept secret that this is happening in Iran even though it is hard to understand why Iran insists on doing so. The US government has tried to get involved in dissolving this ongoing practice for years without much success. Iran has been arming itself for decades now and there are extremely heavy and high tech weapons in the country.
Since the start of the Syrian civil war, Iran has been in the forefront supporting the government under president Assad. President Assad took on the presidency without much experience and without the support of Iran, this regime would have fallen as soon as the war started. Iran worked hard to provide whatever the government needed to fight against the rebels in Syria just so that the government is not overthrown. She has even help Syria train an army of 50,000 soldiers that will help protect the government from the rebels.
At first, Iran didn’t get very involved in the war but offered to give advice and train the soldiers. When the Syrian government almost fell, Iran tightened the ropes by deploying troops into Syria to go fight against the rebels. Another thing Iran did is to add into the chemical weaponry of Syria. She has sent her scientists to Syria and even provided the chemicals needed to build these weapons.
The arms cannot be transported by road nor by train, the only way Iran gets these weapons to Syria is by air. They have created an air corridor where these weapons are transported both to Syria and to Lebanon. The US government have given Iran the go-ahead to transport these weapons via three airlines. There was a time when Turkish authorities stopped a truck full of arms that was headed for Syria.
